My last blog in my continuing series about the A-Z of Business, “H,” was about the idea of hovering—from three perspectives. It created a multitude of responses, mostly chuckles, from friends and businesses colleagues. It seems that we have been in hover–mode for quite some time.
I was on the elliptical the other morning, and enjoying reading one of the comments about this particular blog that was pretty funny, when one of my friends in the gym that morning interrupted me and asked, “What do you make of this president?”
I was a little taken aback, for a couple of reasons. One, I hadn’t really paid to much attention to it and two, why he was asking me—because typically I am not the social guy at the gym.
Anyway, it stimulated my thought process and I immediately went to my favorite component of the presidential race— Alec Baldwin’s portrayal of Trump . Thinking about it immediately made me smile and right then and there I decided that this is how I am going to deal with any issues that might startle people or make them uncomfortable. Yep. The follow-up to the “H” blog is about humor. We so much need humor and laughter in our lives everyday and what better reminder than thinking about Alec Baldwin playing Trump in real-time everyday.
Humor is so critical to our health and well being. When was the last time you just had a good belly laugh, the kind that makes it hard to breath and your eyes tear up. Oh My! Just in case you would like to see how it feels, today I asked my friend Jack Schitt to share his story, and I’ve added it below. Bringing humor to your work and family life along with the daily conflicts—and now the DC antics—will go a long way toward improving the quality of your life and you will feel better.
You might be asking how: So here are a few ways that humor and laughter can help your health from HelpGuide.org.

The genealogy of Jack Schitt
For some time many of us have wondered just who is Jack Schitt? And we find ourselves at a loss when someone says, “You don’t know Jack Schitt!”
Well, thanks to genealogy efforts, you can now respond in an intellectual way.
•Jack Schitt is the only son of Awe Schitt.
•Awe Schitt was married to O. Schitt, the fertilizer magnate, and owner of Kneedeep N. Schitt, Inc. They had one son, Jack.
•In turn, Jack Schitt married Noe Schitt. The deeply religious couple produced six children: Holie Schitt, Giva Schitt, Fulla Schitt, Bull Schitt, and the twins Deep Schitt and Dip Schitt.
•Against her parents’ objections, Deep Schitt married Dumb Schitt, a high school dropout.
•After being married 15 years, Jack and Noe Schitt divorced. Noe Schitt later married Ted Sherlock, and because her kids were living with them, she wanted to keep her previous name. She was then known as Noe Schitt-Sherlock.
•Meanwhile, Dip Schitt married Loda Schitt, and they produced a son with a rather nervous disposition who was nick-named Chicken Schitt.
•Two of the other six children, Fulla Schitt and Giva Schitt, were inseparable throughout childhood and subsequently married the Happens brothers in a dual ceremony.
•The wedding announcement in the newspaper announced the Schitt-Happens nuptials.
•The Schitt-Happens children were Dawg, Byrd, and Horse.
•Bull Schitt, the prodigal son, left home to tour the world. He recently returned from Italy with his new Italian bride, Pisa Schitt.
Now when someone says, “You don’t know Jack Schitt,” you can correct them.
Sincerely,
Crock O. Schitt
